Family Reunion

The cousins are together again! Look at all those smiles.

            The mayhem started at Ryan and Whitney's....... the boys brawled for a good part of the day.

Family Reunion 2010 was a blast!!! It was this weekend that was monumental for Calvin. He just decided to take off on his cousin Paxton's bike without training wheels! He surprised us all. He also took off on his cousin's motorcycle and almost gave me a heart attack.....he was headed straight for a fence and wo-hooing in excitement the whole time. He was in more control than I thought and steered away from the fence right before I passed out!

Labor Day

Nugget Chuggets as Calvin calls her or Cosetti Confetti is on her way to walking.Otherwise this has been her view.Thompsons invited us to there beach house in Gerhardt. Such beauty! The weather was sunny and warm, the best I have ever experienced at the Oregon Coast. Great way to spend the weekend before school started!

J-P was carrying her around like a bucket and she just laughed! She would kick the air like she was running to get momentum to fly. Hillarious to watch. Guess you had to be there.

Fourth of July

On the fourth, we celebrated by going to a live reenactment of the Civil War. Something happened to me that was very unexpected......I almost burst into tears. The emotion over-came me watching these men fight.

It felt very real and it provoked a lot of thought about how much sacrifice our fore-fathers went through to give us our freedoms we easily take for granted today.

Cosette didn't like the cannons being shot, I don't blame her - they were loud. Although, she shows no signs of distress. Isn't she the cutest.

These people who do these reenactments are very involved. They all come and set up there time-period tents and camp out for days. It is very impressive to watch.

The boys absolutely loved it!

Summertime

If anyone at all has been wondering what the Macy's have been up to this summer, the answer is A WHOLE LOT!

We moved!

J-P drove the big truck towing that little trailer and I drove the suburban towing our little green trailer. We barely fit. Thanks to everyone who helped us!

Building a tree fort! It was officially name Fort Caliver.

Their grandpa built this fort entirely on his own. He's amazing. The kids are so proud of this fort and especially their grandpa! More pics to come.

J-P went Grizzly Adams for awhile. Some say it could have been landscape inspired. That inner mountain man is always trying to break out.......and it did all over his face!
