Demolition Derby

After our trip to Idaho (yes, tarty post still to come on that) we returned with 5 days left at the fair. Of course I worked a few of those but on the last day we brought the kids back to watch the demolition derby! Good times.

Calvin took most of the pictures that night. He actually got a few decent shots. I did delete 43 pictures though. Thanks be to digital technology.

Christi had a soft spot for this wagon.

This guy was a complete nut! He drove so fast and wild and his car was so mechanically not-sound that he was out through his own personal self abuse.

Great pics Calvin, thanks for shootin.

Some more life.....

Bridal Shower #1

Christi held a bridal shower for Ilene yesterday, it was a success.

This shower included people that know Ilene through Christi, church and or the Gym.

This is, however only the first of three different showers being thrown for Ilene.
During the shower Morgan and I took the two boys to see "Space Chimps". After the shower we got a sitter and went, the four of us, out for a nice dinner and then enjoyed movies and late night visiting. It sure is nice to have Morgan and Ilene around. They are great company and great for each other.

"A date with Daddy"

Oliver fell asleep a little early one night and when Daddy got home from working the fair it worked out just right for Daddy and Calvin to go out for a little frozen yogurt. Calvin said it was a Calvin and Daddy date. Works for me.

We had good fun talking "guy stuff".

Bunk Beds!

A little late in posting this one but the boys got bunk beds while mommy was away to Girls Camp the beginning of July. They love it.

They still hang together for book time though.

California State Fair

Grandma came up from Palo Alto to go to the fair with us. Daddy worked at the fair many days of the 18 that it was open but was able to sneak away for some family time.

The petting zoo is always a favorite. This year we were able to feed and pet a smaller sized kangaroo! Very cute.

There were a few rides the boys were big enough to go on, they loved it! Daddy got to ride the ferris wheel with them. I loved it.

These brothers are best of friends.

Could there be a sun shinier image? She lights up my life.

A bit hard to see but mommy is riding along with both boys. We had to borrow Grandma's disposable camera.

New Friends

Tonight we had the Stalkers over for dinner. The missionaries joined us. It was Elder Gibson's birthday today too. Nice evening. Christi made enchiladas, yum yum!
