What the Macy's have been up to....

At the end of the school year, Calvin participated in his class play.  He auditioned and was given one of the main characters, the skunk, of The Ugly Duckling The Musical.

On right is the 'Ugly Duckling' who is now the Swan and the Rooster to Calvin's right.  I was able to participate by doing the choreography!

Oliver has graduated to the lawn moaning club. He moans when I ask him to mow the lawn.
I thought boys liked to do that stuff!

J-P built a patio cover over our veranda. Now we have a nice shade from the rain and sun!

Our littlest book worm. She insists on having this many books in her bed and not one less!

Family hike around the Portland Arboretum.

Miss Sassy!

Cosette wanted her Dad to put all of her hair bows in her hair and he did!

Calvin got bit by a pitbull on the fourth of July. He was riding his bike like a good boy and this particular Pit-bull lunged at and bit Cal.  We suspect the dog must have been agitated and Calvin was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Unfortunately, Calvin now has a fear of Pit-bulls.

Where's Oliver?

Oliver turned 6!!!

We had a lot of fun with this party. It was pirate-themed and we did stations....walk the plank while I shot the kids with water, a beard and tattoo station and lastly, thee treasure hunt, maties!

It was pure chaos, but it was worth it in hopes it sticks in Oliver's mind as one of his best Birthday parties ever!:)

Their best pirate faces...

The cutest bearded little lady.

J-P was the brains behind the treasure hunt and sent the kids searching all over the neighborhood.

still hunting...

and hunting....

Dang-it! I  didn't get the picture of the pirate wooden treasure box full of gold coins!

We ended with the traditional pinata.

We had real pirates crash the party. They were on their best behavior!:)

My twin party helpers

The end of year 5 for Oliver.

I turned 35! Weird picture of me and the #5 candle represents five years until I hit the big 4-0!

We got to spend a day at a private lake. It was a great swimming hole especially since it was a hot.

J-P said goodbye to his 78 Ford.  He upgraded for another Ford that doesn't break down all the time (I know. It sounds sappy, but just being honest) and one that doesn't leak rain water on him while he drives to and from work. J-P is a living saint. He puts up with a lot. More than I would for sure.

J-P got to visit his Gram who is in her nineties!  Isn't she beautiful?
