All summer long the boys have been in swim lessons. Fortunately, they have been in the same classes through out. Oliver is the youngest because most of the kids are any where from 5 to 7 years of age in their particular "minnows" class. Oliver is not quite where the rest of the kids are, but we are most impressed that he was graduated to that class. Over the course of summer, both boys graduated from two classes to reach the "minnows" class. They are not true "swimmers" yet, however they can swim short distances all by themselves. It's been interesting to watch them grow and become so comfortable in the water.

Camping that Night
After a day of boating, we found our campsite and pitched a tent. I discovered earlier on, J-P had forgot my overnight bag and I was left to my own devices.....a.k.a my bathing suit and cover up. I was about to send J-P to the nearest store when I decided I can make do with over sized men's clothing. Not that J-P is over sized, just that his clothes are for me. I wore his shirt and shorts and I looked like a man with a huge beer gut and long hair. You know how vain I am, I'm not posting any pics. The pregnant ones are bad enough! We roasted dogs, had s'mores and ended the evening with a hot cup of chocolate! As we settled into our bags ,we noticed that the campsite next to us was still running their generator. J-P completely annoyed by the noise, started fussing about how no one was going to get any sleep. I volunteered to go over and ask when they were going to retire it for the night. To our dismay, we found out that they were running it for their father who was on a respirator.....it was going to be on all night long. Just like Lionel Richie's song. We did fall asleep...eventually, but I did hear J-P murmuring in his sleep "How of all the nights we camp." We awoke at 6:10 the next morning to Calvin urgently needing to go potty. This woke the whole contents of the tent up and when we decided that we were all awake for the day, we heard the generator go off! Isn't that just beautiful irony? J-P did complain as we checked out that morning and found out that those campers had told reservations that they were going to plug into the bathrooms that was just right across from them. We also discovered that morning, as we were driving away, that they had a box around their generator shielding the noise from their camp site and sending the noise straight to us! Despite all the little nuisances, we did enjoy ourselves for our one night of camping.
One of the many Canadian geese the boys fed......they were mean, they hissed at us when we ran out of food. They started after Oliver who had only a crumb left in his hand.

Compliments of Rick and Kimberly
Rick and Kimberly accompanied by Claire invited us out for a day of boating at Scotts Flat. We spent the majority of the day on the water. The boys went tubing and J-P got a pull on his water ski. I, well..... just watched. Next year I'll be out there like a champ! Calvin and Oliver got a good taste of what it's like to go boating and if you notice the pictures, they loved it!
Renovation
We are trying some new things on our blog. This is just a little taste, not permanent. So excuse our blog while it's under construction.

Baby Quilt
The leopard print blanket you see behind the book is a quilt that Julia (a friend from church) help me make for baby Cosette. My first quilt ever and it was so much fun! I am excited to try another.

BIRTH Day!
Tonight the boys and I read a book about a woman that births a baby. It shows a picture of the umbilical cord and how it's still attached to the baby and the mommy. Oliver wants to touch Baby Cosette's (by the way....this is the baby's name) umbilical cord and was concerned how one would cut it off and how it turned into a belly-button. Calvin then asks me if it was going to hurt when I pushed the baby out. "Yes Calvin." Calvin asks again, "The worst pain you ever felt?" "Yes! Pain so unbearable, it's a good thing I get a beautiful present at the end of it......like you and Oliver and baby Cosette to come. The best things that ever happened to me besides marrying your Daddy!" That must have been a good answer because he stopped asking questions.
