Our church every year has a weekend dedicated for fathers and sons. It's actually only one night, but Calvin gets so excited anticipating it, that thats all he can talk about. He even told his teacher at school he was going to be gone for a week. Lol.
They camped out at the coast just south from Tilamook that's about a two hour drive from our house.
When the tide was low, there was lots of exploring to do on the beach.

This same weekend I went with Cosette and Tanya with her daughter, Jane to Tanya's in-laws beach house. We had some other friends there with their daughters and we had our own retreat.

Almost looks like you are on Guam-- too bad Calvin and Oliver can't dig in the sand and make a tunnel to Guam instead of China.
