HAPPY BIRTHDAY ILENE!

We got to spend Ilene's birthday evening with her and Morgan.
We all went out to eat at Buca di Beppo. A good time was had by all!

Oliver seems to be very fond of Morgan

The happy couple!

Oh so beautiful sisters.

For not having any experience with kids, Morgan is doing a great job.
The boys are both happy to have him around.

Stealing Some Self Indulgence

Well the Jeep has been on jack stands for over a month. I had to pull the diff cover as it was pretty badly dented (again) and had peeled back a bit. Life has been too crazy to do anything therapeutic. I managed to sneak in a couple hours here and there to get this done. Seems simple enough right? Well I ended up grinding about 5/8 of an inch off the bottom of my diff housing and then also off the new diff cover. This one won't dent or peel back! I also had to change an oil seal on one of the rear hubs. It really felt good to get something accomplished that I wanted to do not just the things I have to do.

Olivers Birthday Party

Well only 10 days late we finally were able to give Oliver a small birthday celebration.
We had Kimberly and Rick and Claire over and also Ilene and Morgan. Our good friends, Gary and Claire and Luca came over to help with the fun. Oliver seemed to enjoy himself.

Singing Happy Birthday

Morgan was very excited to give Oliver his gift as Morgan had picked it out himself.
Nice job Morgan, Batman pajamas with the cape!

Discussing the relative physics of life on another planet. They are truly an intellectual couple.

Oliver was interested in his gifts up untill the time he opened one that came with a sheet of stickers. Then it was like pulling teeth to get his focus.

Aunt Kimberly and cousin Claire
Uncle Rick and all three boys getting there first model plane lesson.

Moving and Baptisms

Well on Saturday we spent the morning helping our friends Brandon and Annie finish loading their moving truck and sent them on their way. Annie is Christi's writing partner for the screen play. She is heading to LA to attend USC Film School. We know she'll do great. It is sad to see them go, however. They are closer to us than we realized. In a sense we have all become a team in this project that Christi and Annie have written. Good luck down south you guys!

After leaving them I went to the temple to perform baptisms. It was a great experience. I had never done that before in the temple. What an awesome spirit you feel. Thanks for asking me to participate Ron.

Church Ball

This year I have made an effort to be at least a little more active. I played church basketball for a couple of months in the winter and just finished up with church softball. It was fun to get out and stretch the legs.

The boys enjoyed playing during our games. They had no problem finding other little friends to stay occupied.

This particular game was the semi finals in the end of season tournament. We lost but I managed to get an in field home run. Deep center. Pretty much the highlight of my season.

Bear River

Christi went away to girls camp while I was still in the thick of training with the new company.
Needless to say I received much help. The first day Ilene watched the kids in the morning, thanks again Leener, and Brent took afternoon duty. I got home early enough to join in on the fun of going to the river. Brent showed us a neat place on the Bear river. The boys loved it!

The water was chilly but we probably lasted a good 45 minutes in it before we all got cold.

Fourth of July

Not exactly the most exciting day, I guess we feel the kids are still young enough that a couple of sparklers will give the desired effect.

We were invited to our friend's the Leathams for an afternoon bar-b-que

Oliver tends to find any bucket of water he can and dip his head and then just get in. He found the barrel used for the apple bobbing.
I'm the most spirited guy in the world. You just wouldn't believe.

Chiristi going head to head against our hostess. Who do you think won?
Christi got pushed around a bit.

My wife is so beautiful!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER!

Today was Oliver's 2nd Birthday! Happy Birthday buddy!! We love you so much.

Here I just asked Oliver how old he is and at first he held up one finger and said one, I corrected him by saying no, then he said "two" and tried to figure out what to do with his fingers. Too cute

Grandma was here helping for the almost the entire week, she met me with the boys for a little treat.

They both were very distracted by the fire truck and firemen that pulled up.

Two years old and all tatooed up. He's quite the tough guy.
